Chicago, Il. – We are so happy to announce that the biggest Filipino American event in the Chicago area will be back next year – the Piyesta Pinoy in Bolingbrook will be outdoors during summer time. The event will be coordinated by the Philippine American Cultural Foundation in partnership with the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago and the Village of Bolingbrook.
Save the Date – Saturday, June 10, 2017 for the 4th Philippine Fest Celebration (Piyesta Pinoy sa Bolingbrook) at the beautiful Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center in Bolingbrook. This year’s event attracted about 7,500 people in attendance, 10 food vendors, 25 merchandise and service vendors and 12 not-for-profit organizations. It featured 12 hours of music and dance entertainment including performances by superstars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim from the Philippines, several other local singers, dancers and musical bands, food cooking demos by well-known Fil-Am chefs, parade of costumes, martial arts demos, several interactive activities and children’s games. With your support and participation, we hope to make next year an even bigger event.
The Piyesta Pinoy Committee is inviting performers, artists, sponsors, not-for-profit partners, donors, vendors, exhibit/display/information booth/table participants and volunteers to join next year’s Piyesta Pinoy celebration. Application forms must be submitted on or before January 30, 2017.
